Note 'A'
- Pumps
manufactured before 11-98 require a volute replacement kit.
Note 'B'
- Look on the back
of the volute seal plate,
above the Rotation 'Arrow'. You will either see a number 211
or
number
311.
These numbers indicate that these are the newer seal plates, so you should
use the Black gasket ( square edges on both sides ) and not the Almond gasket
( beveled on one side and square on the other ). If you do not see any
number
or you see a number 111, then you are looking at an older seal
plate. We recommend using the
Black gasket on all seal plates and no longer use the Almond
gaskets. The Almond gaskets can fail prematurely and leak.
Reminder: The Black gaskets have square edges on both sides where the
Almond gasket is beveled on one side and square on the other.

- Go kit which contains gaskets and pump seal - H2O# 9090320 (
Go-Kit 32 ) - Includes old and new seal plate gasket.
Note that both gaskets are black in the Go Kit.
