Directions For Use:
To start up a new spa or hot tub, or one recently drained:
  Clean all surfaces, backflush or clean the filter, chemically balance the calcium hardness and total alkalinity, treat for metals. If present ( iron, copper and manganese ) and adjust the pH to 7.2 - 7.8.
  Add 7.5 grams (  1-1/2 teaspoons ) of this product per 300 gallons of water directly to the spa or hot tub with the circulation system on. Measure bromine residuals after 15 minutes and repeat dosage until an active bromine concentration of 2 to 4 ppm in residential spa is established. The presence of organic debris, high bather use and other factors may require a higher dosage.
  Use test strips to monitor for bromine regularly. Do not allow cyanuric acid level to exceed 100 ppm. It is recommended that spas and hot tubs be drained every 30-90 days, more often if under heavy use.

Shock Treatment:
Water soluble, non-filterable wastes can accumulate in spa or hot tub water and cause dull or cloudy water and can stimulate algae growth. Superoxidation or superchlorination with a suitable oxidizing shock treatment must be done on a regular basis to remove these wastes and maintain clear sparking water.
  Add 30 grams ( 6 teaspoons ) of this product per 300 gallons of water directly to the spa or hot tub with the circulation system on.
 

Directions:
Before Use:
Before using this product in a spa or hot tub for the first time, add 1/2 ounce of sodium bromide * per 100 gallons of water to establish a 30 ppm bromide concentration. Also, add sodium bromide at this dosage whenever the spa or hot tub is drained and refilled. The bromide addition ensures immediate establishment of an all-bromide system, eliminates chlorinous odors and maximizes skin and eye comfort.

Spa or Hot Tub Start-Up:
Using a suitable feeder adjusted according to the manufacturer's directions, add this product to maintain an active bromine concentration of 2 to 4 ppm in residential spas and 3 - 6 ppm in commercial spas. Use a reliable test kit to monitor bromine regularly. This product's usage will typically vary from 0.015 to 0.10 pound for every 300 gallons of spa water to maintain the recommended bromine concentration range. The presence of organic debris, high bather use and other factors may require a higher dosage.

Superoxidation:

Superoxidation or superchlorination with a suitable oxidizing shock treatment should be done on a regular basis to remove these wastes and maintaining clear, sparkling water. Suitable oxidizing agents are those based on calcium hypochlorite, lithium hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite or potassium peroxymonoperfulfate. Do not mix this product in concentrated form with any other chemicals. Do not add other chemicals to the feeding device when using this product.

APPLICATION
Ensure all spa equipment is working properly, backwash filter system (if present) following manufacturer’s directions.
Adjust pH between 7.2-7.6. When using other products as outlined in directions for this product, always follow directions on those products. Fill spa bromine feeder with this product and adjust feeder following manufacture's directions to yield bromine residual between 2-4 ppm in residential spas and 4-6 ppm in commercial spas. Check feeder regularly  and add additional product as needed to maintain the bromine residual. The pump and filter should be operated for at least three hours every day whether spa is used or not. Do not heat water above 102° F. Keep the spa free of leaves and other debris.

To maintain clear, clean water and insure the performance of the spa chemicals, spas should be drained and refilled with fresh water every 60 days in residential spas or a minimum of every 7 days in commercial spas.

REENTRY INTO TREATED SPAS IS PROHIBITED ABOVE LEVELS OF 8 PPM BROMINE DUE TO RISK OF BODY INJURY

Directions:
Keep pH between 7.2 and 7.6 and never allow it to fall below 7.0. The treatment necessary will change considerably depending upon those factors that burden the disinfection system. Some of the factors that will vary the required treatment are water temperature, bather load, exposure to windblown debris, thunder or rain storms and length of filtration cycle.

Before using this product in a spa or hot tub for the first time, add 1/2 ounce of sodium bromide per 100 gallons. The same treatment should be followed each time you drain and refill the spa or hot tub with fresh water. Introduce 3 tablets per 300 gallons of spa water with the use of a floating tablet feeder or automatic brominator installed on the spa equipment. Adjust tablet feeder or brominator to obtain an active bromine residual of at least 2 ppm. Maintain spa by adding 3 tablets per 300 gallons every 5-7 days or as needed to maintain an active bromine residual of 2 ppm at all times. Spa water has a tendency to foam and cloud; this is directly proportional to the amount of spa use. Cloudiness is due to the accumulation of body fats, oils and contaminants too small for the filtration equipment to remove, and is linked to rapid escalation of total dissolved solids in the water. To a great extent, defoamers, clarifiers, as well as shock treatments, demineralizers, or sequestering agents can be used to clear the water. When water clarification can not be achieved, draining, cleaning and refilling the spa is recommended.
