General Information::
This product contains Potassium Monopersulfate and is a convenient non chlorine shock for spas that are sanitized using chlorine. This product will oxidize organic contaminants such as chloramines which are the cause of heavy, chlorine odors. Use of this product eliminates the long waiting periods to re-enter water associated with the use of other chlorine shocks such as calcium and lithium hyprochlorite. For spas that use bromine as a primary sanitizer, this product is the ideal choice to shock or 'reactivate' the used bromine to it's active form. This product is superior to other non chlorine shocks, such as sodium persulfate, at elevated temperatures commonly used in spas and hot tubs. When used with bromine products such as sodium bromine and bromine tablets ( BCDMH ), this product functions both as an activator of bromine ions and as an oxidizer of organic wastes.

Directions For Use:
With filter pump operating, broadcast this product uniformly over the surface of the spa water to ensure complete mixing and good circulation. Remove bathers from spa during treatment. Bathers may re-enter the water 15 minutes after treatment.

For Spas:
For spas using bromine ( BCDMH ) tablets as a sanitizer or sodium bromide as a source of bromine, this product acts as both a shock treatment to oxidize bather waste and other organic contaminants and to generate bromine sanitizer by oxidation of bromide ion. In general, spas require higher doses of this product than swimming pools. Add four to eight ounces of this product per 1000 gallons of spa water to immediately oxidize and eliminate organic contaminants introduced by bathers. Public spas which are used every day may need treatment on a daily basis.

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT INTENDED AS A REPLACEMENT FOR ROUTINE SANITATION USING APPROVED SANITIZERS SUCH AS CHLORINE AND BROMINE.


 

 
After Each Use:
1. Turn on filtration system.
2. For each 250 gallons of water, place 3 tablets into spa water.
3. Run filtration system for 15 minutes with cover off.
4. Repeat process once a week to help maintain clear, odor-free water.

Directions for Normal Bathing Loads:
For most spas with normal bathing loads, Replenish should be added after every use and once each week for maintenance. Add one and one-half (1 ½) ounces of Replenish for every 300 gallons of spa water uniformly over the surface of the water. Apply when the spa is not in use. Each ounce of Replenish will raise the free chlorine concentration by about 2 ppm in 300 gallons of water. Test the sanitizer level prior to re-entry to ensure the residual sanitizer concentration is between 1-3 ppm.

Regular Treatment:
For regular use add 1 tablespoon ( apox = 1.5 oz. ) per 250 gallons of water before spa use. Cast into the spa while the spa is under continuous circulation with the cover off until the product is fully dissolved. Test for MPS with Nature2 test strips or equivalent after allowing enough time for the product to be properly dissolved. If the test fail to indicate MPS levels in the 9-12 ppm range, add another dose of 1 tablespoon per 250 gallons of water. Allow time for the product to dissolve before turning off the spa jets. Test pH, total alkalinity and total hardness once a week.
